our mission
sheMakes is a youth-led organization created by girls, for girls, that strives to create a paradigm shift in how girls see engineering and how the field treats girls by building a truly inclusive, collaborative, and judgment-free space for female engineers. We do this with three key aspects in mind:
community
we emphasize team-building and community-strengthening through meetings and discussions.
education
we prioritize opportunities of learning and practicing engineering through Makeathons of various levels.
exhibition
we involve people beyond our community using showcases, something especially needed to change the space's culture.
